Phil Harrison the singer

Where it
all began

Phil Harrison was born in Hull in 1961.

It was apparent from an early age that he was born to entertain and soon learnt to play 2 instruments and loved to sing.

Phil has entertained audiences all over the country. Phil has had some personal challenges throughout his career which at times made it difficult for Phil to perform, he drew inspiration from Joe Longthorne with the challenges he faced and Phil with Joe in mind was able to resurrect his career in recent years and Phil has come back stronger than ever.

Phil now has an aspiration to build his career and with the help of social media and some high-profile theatre performances he has been able to create a fan base which I’m sure will grow.

Remembering Live Variety

Through out 2022 and 2023, Phil teamed up with comedy legends, Billy Pearce and Duncan "chase me" Norvelle, on a Theatre tour

The New Theatre Royal Lincoln

Phil was joined by the beautiful Donna Marie and the children of the New Youth Theatre to bring a great show to Lincoln's New Theatre Royal, in October 2021, in memory of  the late great Joe Longthorne and to add Joe's photo to the hall of Fame at the Theatre. The evening also raised money for the theatre after the hardship of the pandemic in 2020, where  performances were cancel and many theatres struggled.

The Plowright Theatre

Remembering Live Variety brought music and laughter to this lovely theatre, in Scunthorpe, in May 2022. Comedy Legend Billy Pearce joined Phil along with The Live Variety Band and the beautiful Shelley Wormald-James. A great night bringing back the days of live entertainment for all ages. Not a dry eye in the house and all left with smiles on their faces, a little bit of normality after the last few years.

The Terry O'Toole Theatre

In April 2023 we brought the show Remembering Live Variety back to Phil's local area, this theatre is in North Hykeham where Phil grew up, sadly the band did not join us on this show due to the sad loss of our MD and great friend, Alan Wormald.  A sad and sudden loss, the show continued with the blessing of his wife Shelley.

Stockport Plaza

This time Phil was joined by Duncan "chase me" Norvelle. The Remembering Live Variety Show felt privileged to perform in this beautiful Art Deco Theatre, where many famous stars have stood on this stage. Phil felt blessed and honoured to be treading the boards, where the great Joe Longthorne have stood.
